Tabua Francis Butagira, better known by the byline Tabu Butagira, is an internationally-published Ugandan journalist, including in The Times of London and the Mail&Guardian of South Africa.
Mr Butagira is the Chief Reporter for the Daily Monitor newspaper, Uganda's largest independent and second-highest circulating newspaper owned by the Aga Khan. His main beats are Politics, Security, Diplomacy & Investigations. Mr Butagira, who in 2008 had a 3-month work placement at The Times of London as a David Astor fellow, is currently on sabbatical at the Cronkite Journalism School, Arizona State University, on Humphrey (Fulbright) fellowship.
